Cancellation Policy

At Lil’ Sugarbird Villa, we understand that plans can change. This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms applicable to vacation rentals, weddings, retreats, special events, and other reservations made directly through us. By making a reservation, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Vacation Rental Reservations
More Than 60 Days Before Arrival
Guests who cancel more than sixty (60) days prior to their scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund of all payments made, less any non-refundable processing fees.
30–60 Days Before Arrival
Guests who cancel between thirty (30) and sixty (60) days before arrival will forfeit the reservation deposit. Any additional payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded.
Less Than 30 Days Before Arrival
Cancellations made fewer than thirty (30) days before arrival are non-refundable.
If Lil’ Sugarbird Villa is able to rebook the cancelled dates, a partial refund may be issued at our sole discretion, less administrative expenses and any difference in rental rate.
Weddings, Elopements, Retreats, and Private Events
Due to the extensive planning, scheduling, and reservation of dates associated with special events, all event deposits are non-refundable.
More Than 120 Days Before Event Date
Payments made beyond the initial deposit may be eligible for refund.
60–120 Days Before Event Date
Fifty percent (50%) of all payments received may be retained by Lil’ Sugarbird Villa.
Less Than 60 Days Before Event Date
All payments made are non-refundable.
Certain third-party vendor expenses, permits, coordination services, rentals, transportation arrangements, and other event-related costs may be non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.
Reservation Changes
Requests to change arrival dates, departure dates, event dates, guest counts, or reservation details are subject to availability and approval by Lil’ Sugarbird Villa.
Approval of a requested change is not guaranteed.
Changes may result in additional fees or rate adjustments.
Early Departure
No refunds will be provided for:
- Early departures
- Late arrivals
- No-shows
- Unused accommodations
- Unused services
- Weather-related interruptions after arrival
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including:
- Illness or injury
- Flight cancellations
- Travel delays
- Severe weather
- Hurricanes
- Family emergencies
- Other unexpected events that may impact travel plans
Travel insurance may provide reimbursement where refunds are otherwise unavailable under this policy.
Weather and Force Majeure
Lil’ Sugarbird Villa cannot guarantee weather conditions during your stay or event.
Refunds will not be issued due to:
- Rain
- Wind
- Excessive heat
- Cloud cover
- Rough water conditions
- General weather dissatisfaction
In the event of mandatory government evacuations, airport closures, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, accommodations may be offered at our discretion, subject to availability and applicable law.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to:
A cancellation is considered effective only when written confirmation has been received from Lil’ Sugarbird Villa.
Third-Party Booking Platforms
Reservations made through third-party booking platforms, including but not limited to Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, Booking.com, or travel agencies, are subject to the cancellation policies and terms established by the applicable booking platform.
In the event of a conflict, the booking platform’s cancellation policy shall govern.
